Country village pub, situated halfway between Belper and Ashbourne on the A517. Now the only pub in Turnditch, it has a small bar area with comfortable seating near a real fire and a separate dining area. Serves up to three ales from the Marstons range and has an excellent food offering all day, including specific days for Roasts, Mac & Cheese, Steaks, Burgers, Pies and Fish & Chips (see website). Superb long distance views to the rear overlooking the Ecclesbourne valley. There are infrequent buses in the afternoon between Belper and Ashbourne but none in the evening.
